LEGAL UPDATE: New Investment Law and Law on Enterprises.
As mentioned in our update yesterday (https://daonguyenlegal.com/did-you-know/legal-update-did-you-know-the-government-has-issued-a-new-investment-law-and-enterprise-law-two-of-the-most-important-pieces-of-legislation-regulating-doing-business-in-vietnam-whether-you-are-a-fo/), we have now prepared a full update comparing the old laws to the new clause-by-clause.
These laws will become valid on 1 January 2021.
One point on nominee transactions we would like to note. A nominee transaction is defined as a transaction to conceal another. Thus, it is much broader than using nominees to hold shareholding interests.
